The program was created by a licensed United States Soccer Federation instructor (National “C” and “Y” license). Kiddie Soccer specializes in teaching kids between the ages of 2 years to 4 years old.

During our seasonal six-week sessions, your child will participate in a group with approximately a 10:1 child to coach ratio. These groups are typically co-ed and broken into age groups by year. Through the use of fun and silly games, exercise is naturally incorporated to increase the physical activity of each child as they begin to explore their own capabilities. All classes focus on developing motor skills, promoting physical fitness, encouraging team spirit, instilling self-confidence, and having fun.

A six-week session consists of twelve 1-hour classes held on a Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evening from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Programs will be offered in two locations, south and east Anchorage to accommodate participants. Each 1-hour class has two or three water breaks for the children (water and snacks should be provided by the parent). Every participant receives a Kiddie Soccer t-shirt and ball at the first class. Participants should dress comfortable, wear running or play shoes (soccer cleats not required) and bring plenty of water and snacks.

Purpose

  • Provide soccer players, who have aspirations of becoming a more accomplished player, an avenue to test and enhance their skills.
  • Provide soccer players an opportunity to train with experienced coaches.
  • Provide soccer players an opportunity to investigate the level of play with which they are comfortable, how they fit in with other teams, and for which coaches they would like to play.

The Youth Academy is used to identify very young soccer players who will enjoy a more dynamic play environment, and to provide a technical pathway for future transition into competitive soccer. By offering recreational-league players a chance to train in a new and challenging environment, PSA will create a larger pool of enthusiastic, technically proficient players.

Development Academy sessions will be planned and run by licensed coaches and will emphasize enjoyment of the game, as well as sound fundamental soccer skills, technique and competition.

The Academy curriculum is designed for players aged 5 through 8 and emphasizes an introduction and proper execution of basic techniques such as dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting in a fun yet challenging environment.
